President of Serbia Boris Tadić talked today with representatives of the Coalition for RECOM, who informed him about the initiative to create a regional commission tasked with establishing the facts about victims of war crimes waged on the territory of the former Yugoslavia from 1991-2001.
President Tadić gave his support to the initiative and declared his personal interest in solving all war crimes cases, so that the justice is done to the victims and so that the entire region can turn a new page of reconciliation and cooperation.
The following representatives of the Coalition for RECOM attended the meeting with the President: Nataša Kandić (Humanitarian Law Center, Serbia), Vesna Teršelič (Documenta, Croatia), Dinko Gruhonjić (Independent Association of Journalists of Vojvodina, Serbia), Dragan Pjevač (Association of the Families of Killed and Missing Persons from Krajina, Croatia), Marinko Đurić (Association of Kidnapped and Killed Persons in Kosovo and Metohija), Dženana Karup – Druško (BiH Journalists Association, Bosnia and Herzegovina), Milena Savić (Information and Legal Support Center, Zvornik, BiH), Radan Nikolić (Association of Veterans of the 1990s, Montenegro), Mirko Kovačić (Mothers of Vukovar Association, Croatia), Avni Melenica, (victim’s family member, May 22 Association, Vučitrn, Kosovo and Metohija), and Idriz Seferi, journalist from Kosovo reporting from Serbia.
